Vegan Power Smoothie
Vegan Chocolate, fruit & Seed Smoothie
Today’s Vegan Breakfast consists of :
2 cups of frozen strawberries
1 cup of frozen mangos
2 cups organic antioxidant juice
2 cups of frozen chocolate rice beverage
tea spoon of chia seeds
tea spoon of whole hemp hearts
tea spoon of buckwheat
cinnamon to taste
Blend together and there you have it, your amazingly delicious & nutritious morning smoothie, that will leave you feeling full, satisfied and full of energy!
Strawberries are great because they are full of vitamin C which is a great antioxidant and also helps with allergies at this time of year. The seeds on the strawberries also serve to help in digestion as they are high in fiber.
Mangoes are great because they are full vitamin E which is also an antioxidant, great for the skin and is said to help regulate hormones and help with sex drive. They are also high in vitamins A, C, and K, as well as phosphorus and magnesium. This makes them great to help with cholesterol & blood pressure. Mangoes are also high in iron! Great for a vegan who does not get their iron from meat!
Chia Seeds are a power food and great for you! They are a great source of protein, omega 3 & 6. Chia seeds are also a great antioxidant, and is now becoming known as one of the best antioxidants!
Hulled hemp hearts are becoming known for their cancer fighting agents and are also great for people with Celiac disease. They are high in omega 3 & 6. Hemp is great for all around health; boosting your immune system, aiding in digestion, improving blood pressure, improving cholesterol, helping with weight loss, and controlling blood sugar levels. Thus hemp can be great for people with diabetes. Hemp hearts are also a great source of protein, consisting of 10 amino acids; the building blocks of life for our body! They are great to add in your smoothies before a work out for energy or after a work out for protein and help you feel fuller longer! They are also great for weight loss as they are a high source of natural fiber.
Buckwheat is full of essential amino acids that your body can not make and is also a source of protein! It also contains linoleic acid, vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B5, E, P), making it great for liver function. It also contains minerals such as chromium, copper, manganese, folic acid (folic acid is really important for pregnant women). Buckwheat is an excellent source of magnesium which can help in digestion, decrease blood pressure, improve circulation and muscle relaxation.
Cinnamon as we already know from one of our secrets is great for improved metabolism.
The antioxidant juice contains pure blueberry, cranberry, pomegranate, elderberry, blackberry and acia berry juices. Clean up the junk in your body by removing the free radicals with antioxidants. This is a great way to stay looking & feeling young!
